Score 87/100 · Drink 2002-2010, Robert Parker, Aug 2002

The 1999 Pinot Noir Ferrington Vineyard (240 cases) is nuanced and textured, but still revealing tart acids. The wine offers aromas of plum jam, wet stones, cherries, cranberries, and dried herbs. It is a medium-bodied, structured, vivacious, tangy, somewhat acidic Pinot to drink over the next 5-8 years. Tel. (707) 433-6425; Fax (707) 433-6546

Dark red. Complex smoky, roasted aromas of black raspberry, cherry, cola, mocha, leather and minerals. Round and fat on the palate; not yet showing its sweetness but already quite seamless. Finishes with fine tannins and excellent persistence.
