Score 89/100 · Drink 2017-2028, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jun 2016
The 2014 Tanager Pinot Noir has a slightly candied bouquet with strawberry pastilles and red cherries developing in the glass, though it does not quite possess the complexity of say the Shea or Guadeloupe Pinots in comparison. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red berry fruit on the entry, just a faint hint of licorice and segueing into a spice-tinged finish that needs a little more persistence. Apart from this, this is a well-made Pinot Noir to enjoy over the next decade.
