Tasting notes
This impressive, modern-style cabernet has big blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, but also terracotta and a delicate hint of smoke. The palate is rich yet fairly dry, thanks to the full, healthy tannins that nicely support the long finish. Drink or hold.

Based on 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and the balance Malbec, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon VGS is a ripe, sexy beast that has oh, so classic notes of blackcurrants, toasted spice, cedarwood, and damp earth. It's full-bodied, layered, and seamless, with ripe tannins and impeccable balance. Drink this long, balanced, flamboyant Napa Cabernet any time over the coming 15-20 years.
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 6% Malbec. Deep purple-black in color, it sings of cassis, black cherries and mulberries with touches of violets, bay leaves and damp soil. The medium to full-bodied mouth is firm, grainy and refreshing with a long finish.
