Tasting notes
Good medium ruby. Strong peppery herbs and licorice along with bright black fruits and bitter chocolate on the nose. Dense and concentrated, but in a distinctly chewy, unrefined style, betraying a strong green component that eventually clashes with the wine's dusty tannins on the back end, cutting off its fruit. Still quite primary but the weedy element is a bit intrusive. Turns drier and sharper with air. Plenty of life here but will this wine ever become fun to drink?

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon bursts from the glass with expressive dark red fruit, crushed flowers, tobacco, anise and sweet spices. Pointed and beautifully articulated, the 2010 impresses for its persistence and class. The Cabernet Sauvignon is a lovely wine to drink now and over the next decade. The 2010 is 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and % Merlot.
Moving up to the flagship wines, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa is composed of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 2% Merlot (374 cases produced). This seamless, flawlessly constructed wine exhibits lots of blueberry, blackberry, cassis and spring flower characteristics as well as subtle background oak. Full-bodied, opulent and Margaux-like, only richer and denser, this sensational 2010 once again proves how impressive this vintage can be. Enjoy it over the next 15-20 years. Tel. (707) 259-1681
