Tasting notes
The 2022 Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley is another terrific wine in this range. In this vintage, the 2% Petite Sirah in the blend is from Palisades Vineyard. That may help explain this wine's superb balance. Effusive aromatics meld into a core of blue/purplish fruit, new leather, spice, tobacco and incense. I especially admire the energy here. What a beautiful wine this is.

The 2022 Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley usually sees a bit of Petite Sirah, but in this vintage the estate fruit was ruled out due to the heat wave, so instead it has a touch of Palisades Petite Sirah. The wine displays a youthful magenta red color and is spicy with aromas of mint, grenadine, peppercorn, and a hint of graphite. Medium-bodied, it’s ripe on the palate without ever feeling heavy and offers even acidity, refined tannins, and a clean finish. Drink 2024-2034.
