Score 87/100 · Drink 2019-2023, Neal Martin, Nov 2019

The 2017 Seriously Old Dirt has a straightforward menthol bouquet, nicely defined if unashamedly simple. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins and red currant and strawberry fruit laced with tobacco and sage toward the easygoing finish. Drink over the next four or five years.

Score 89/100 · Drink 2019-2026, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2019

A blend of 37% Malbec, 36% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2017 Seriously Old Dirt has an expressive, lively nose with dusty dark fruit and dark chocolate plus hints of oak. An honest wine, the mouthfeel is open and has an approachable core of fruit. The mid-palate is rich and delivers pleasure, while the finish is still tight and has a firm grip, with a long lingering finish.
