The 2020 Syrah Watch Hill Vineyard comes from a site in Alisos Canyon and sees a good bit of Viognier as well, the wine being 95% Syrah and 5% Viognier. It's slightly denser, with gorgeous blue fruits, cracked pepper, violets, and assorted meaty nuances. Rich, medium to full-bodied, and concentrated, it has wonderful tannins, a layered, ripe, seamless mouthfeel, and a great finish. It's another gem of a wine from Murray to drink over the coming 7-8 years or so.

The 2020 Syrah Watch Hill Vineyard is beautifully precise and lifted. Sandy soils and an extra kick of Viognier yield a Syrah with strong aromatic presence to balance the natural opulence of the year. Blue/purplish fruit, spice, lavender and mint lead into the delineated finish.
