Tasting notes
Structured, fresh and dusty, the 2020 Pepper Bridge Vineyard has a bold, juicy and ripe nose with a dense and savory expression in the glass. Composed of 39% Merlot, 30% Malbec, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Petit Verdot, the full-bodied palate is generously layered, tannic and firm, promising to remain food-friendly for close to a decade and a half. This textured and layered wine concludes with firm, gripping tannins and notes of dark chocolate-covered blueberries. The wine rested in just over 50% new French oak barrels. Decanting is recommended. Just under 6,200 bottles were produced.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon leads off with a cooling whiff of mentholated herbs and sweet florals, giving way to crushed blackberries. It's silky and pliant, with masses of ripe red fruits underscored by dusty tannins. It finishes surprisingly fresh, nearly juicy, with a licorice tinge.
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon showed nicely, with a pure, clean, classic style. Blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, gravelly earth, and dark chocolate give way to a medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated, balanced Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon that's going to evolve for a solid two decades.
