Tasting notes
Bright red-ruby. Blackberry, blueberry, menthol, cocoa powder and minerals on the nose. Plush and fine-grained, with a sexy sweetness leavened by ripe acidity and some roasted herb character. Dark berries and black cherry dominate, along with a touch of chocolatey superripeness. I prefer this to the 2009 for its shape, verve and definition. Finishes smooth and quite persistent, with suave, well-managed tannins. Attractive now, this wine should gain in complexity over the next decade.

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate exhibits a deep ruby/plum color as well as notes of vanillin, smoke, red and black currants, a supple mouthfeel, excellent fruit and a moderately endowed finish. Forward enough to be drinkable now, it should age for 7-8 years. Tel. (707) 944-1710
