Score 88-91/100 · Drink 2003-2018, Robert Parker, Dec 2003

The opaque purple-colored 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley reveals a ripe nose of licorice, lead pencil, black currants, and tobacco leaf. Nicely textured, with fine density, bigger, more forceful flavors than the 2000, and more tannic punch in the finish, it should last for 10-15 years. Tel. (707) 433-8281; Fax (707) 433-5174
