Score 89/100 · Drink 2014-2025, Robert Parker, Dec 2014

Made totally from the Pommard clone, with 10% stems and 66% new oak, the 2012 Pinot Noir Russian River comes from an organically farmed parcel called the Labyrinth Vineyard in Forestville. It possesses an earthy, Nuits-St.-Georges premier-cru character. Meaty with notes of soil, damp earth and graphite, this full-bodied, fresh, dense, masculine-styled Pinot Noir is in complete contrast to the Sonoma Coast cuvée. Only three barrels (72 cases) were produced. Drink now-2025.
