Score 88/100 · Drink 2011-2015, Robert Parker, Feb 2011
While I do not review Oregon wines, I certainly am familiar with the Shea Vineyard and Auteur’s 2008 Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard, which comes from the Wadensville clone and includes 10% stems in its upbringing. This Pinot displays lots of Volnay-like raspberry and cherry fruit intermixed with a floral character in its medium-bodied, ripe, seductive personality. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. Impressive reds and whites have emerged from Auteur, including two brilliant Chardonnays from well-known vineyards. All are fermented with native yeasts and aged sur-lie with their malolactic fermentation blocked. Tel. (707) 938-9211
