Score 87/100 · Drink 2018-2023, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2018
The 2015 Barbaresco Serra Boella is an attractive, if somewhat fragile, wine that reflects some of the challenges of the vintage in its light color, light, ethereal feel and candied flavor profile. Sweet red cherry, kirsch, hard candy, tobacco, mint and cinnamon are nicely pushed forward. I would prefer to drink the 2015 over the next few years, as it appears to be an early maturing wine.

Neive. Tasted blind. Just mid ruby with watery, bricky rim. Savoury nose with hints of iron and minty garden-herb notes. Savoury herb-liqueur palate with slightly drying tannins. Lacks a little in fruit vigour. (WS)
