Score 88/100 · Drink 2005-2015, Robert Parker, Apr 2003
This is a well-made wine, with a dense ruby/purple color, and thick, ripe flavors of black fruits intermixed with underbrush, licorice and some smoky, toasty oak. Medium to full-bodied, with abundant but sweet tannin, along with the 1998 and 2001 this is one of the most impressive wines to emerge from this well-placed estate in many a year. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2015.
