Score 94/100 · Drink 2017-2032, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2014
The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Vogt Vineyard is dense, compact and totally closed in on itself structurally. Graphite, smoke, menthol, blue fruit and spices are beautifully expressive on the palate, where the wine is a bit more open. Still, readers will find little of the early appeal of the vintage here. The firm, savory finish is classic Howell Mountain.

Score 95/100 · Drink 2014-2032, Robert Parker, Oct 2014
The sensational, dense 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Vogt Vineyard offers lots of mulberry, blackberry, graphite and charcoal notes. This gorgeous offering comes from a source that is relatively new blending material for the Private Reserve. Drink this full-bodied beauty between now and 2032.
