Tasting notes
The 2019 Zinfandel Salvador Vineyard is aromatic and light on its feet. Crushed leaves, tobacco, cedar and sweet dried cherry all grace this mid-weight, intensely aromatic Zinfandel. Silky tannins add to its considerable charm and immediacy. I have a slight preference for the Duarte blend, which includes Salvador.

Medium ruby-purple, the 2019 Zinfandel Salvador Vineyard is scented of fresh red and black berries with notes of soil, dried flowers and licorice. The medium-bodied palate is smooth and juicy, with a bright fruit character that serves to lift the wine, and it finishes long and perfumed. 640 cases were made.
The 2019 Zinfandel Salvador Vineyard shows a more floral and red and purplish-toned flavor expression of Contra Costa to match its understated personality. Crushed red berry fruit, spice, orange peel, mint, cedar and leather are all beautifully lifted in the glass. The Salvador is another gorgeous wine in this range. Don't miss it.
