Score 93/100 · Drink 2025-2040, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jun 2025

A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2019 Right Bank Red Blend is a bit herbal and leafy upfront, with those charming notes leading into a base of ripe cherries. It's full-bodied, like all of Anderson's 2019 reds, but remains nicely balanced and textured, with a long, silky finish.

Based on 58% Cabernet Franc and 42% Merlot, the 2019 Red Blend Right Bank does, indeed, have a Right Bank vibe in its ripe black cherry and currant fruit as well as notes of truffly earth, tobacco, leather, and cedar pencil. More medium-bodied, nicely textured, and balanced, this dark, herbal, interesting, and complex red will keep for a decade.
