Foreau's 2022 Vouvray Sec is showing very well today, evoking aromas of Anjou pear, spices, spring flowers and white fruits mingled with delicate notes of confit citrus. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and concentrated, it's layered and chiseled with some depth at the core enhanced by a delicate gastronomic bitterness and bright acids, perfectly balanced by five grams of residual sugar. From a solar, canicular vintage, it could age gracefully over the next 20 years and beyond.

The finely framed 2022 Vouvray Sec provides calm and tenderness as well as a fine powdery chalky texture on the finish. It exudes a sense of effortlessness. While it's light in body, it has plenty of substance. Wild fermented in old barrels, it has subtle fruit characters of nectarine, red apple and florals combine with an integrated nutty lees character on the long, balanced finish.
