Score 95/100 · Drink 2025-2034, Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2024

A cascade of wilted violets combines with sweet lavender, mint and crushed blackberries as the 2022 Pinot Noir Apocrypha blossoms in the glass. It’s round and pliant with depths of peppery wild berry fruits and notes of sour citrus that add lovely contrast. Darkly floral and spicy, this leaves the palate reeling with a pleasantly bitter tinge and hints of blood orange that linger over a bed of gently grippy tannins. The Apocrypha is a well-muscled stallion.
