Tasting notes
The 2020 Pinot Noir Estate is an attractive, mid-weight Pinot. There is a bit of edginess in the tannin, but all the elements are nicely balanced. Crushed flowers, sweet red cherry, orange peel and cinnamon all grace this understated, gentle Pinot.

The 2020 Pinot Noir Estate comes from a mix of the estate vineyards (Rincon, Rosemary’s, and Stone Corral) and was destemmed and brought up in 30% new French oak. Its translucent ruby hue is followed by a solid bouquet of spiced red berry fruits as well as notes of dried flowers, spice, and subtle marine-like nuances. It's medium-bodied, has a pure, polished mouthfeel, light tannins, and a great finish. I continue to love these Chardonnay and Pinot Noir releases from Talley Vineyards, all of which come from the cooler-climate Edna Valley, San Luis Obispo, and Arroyo Grande regions.
