Score 83/100 · Drink 2016-2019, Robert Parker, Dec 2016
The 2014 Proprietary Red Throwback, which is 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Merlot, Cab Franc and Petit Verdot, seems the least interesting. It is monochromatic, medium-bodied and pleasant, but not nuanced or particularly inspiring. Drink now-2019.

The 2014 Red Blend Throwback offers plenty of depth and richness, although it also has a bit less of the immediacy of the other 2014s in this lineup. Firm tannins are going to need at least a year in bottle to soften. The Throwback is also a bit more linear and compact than the Cabernets. But there is good intensity and drive to the red-toned flavors.
