Score 88/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Jeb Dunnuck, Feb 2019
The 2016 Small Lot Cabernet checks in as a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot brought up in equal parts French and American oak. Deeper ruby-colored, with classic currants, leafy herb, and earthy aromas and flavors, it has a fleshy, medium-bodied, charming texture, moderate tannins, and a good finish. Drink it any time over the coming decade or so.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Small Lot is quite attractive, offering up aromas of sweet berry fruit and flowers, followed by a medium-bodied, juicy palate framed by fine tannins and concluding with a rather brief finish. My only reservation is that there's not much Cabernet Sauvignon character here.
