2009 Zaca Mesa Syrah Reserve

Just as good, the 2009 Zaca Mesa Syrah Mesa Reserve is a barrel selection of 100% Syrah that was aged for 21 months in new French oak. Ruby color and opaque, it has a beautifully sweet nose of ripe blackberry, raspberry, lavender, roasted meat, herbs, and creamy licorice. This flows to a full-bodied, concentrated, and supple Syrah that has no hard edges, excellent purity of fruit, and seamless, elegant feel that carries through the finish. It too should have 7-8 years of longevity.
