Score 89/100 · Drink 2011-2019, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2011

The 2008 Tradition is a 50-50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah that was aged in 40% new French oak for 18 months. The Syrah component is in the forefront at the moment marked by plenty of blue fruit and pepper notes. Forward, supple, and easy-going, this pleasure-bent offering can be enjoyed now and over the next 8 years. This venerable winery has been at it for a long time by Washington standards and has been cranking out consumer-friendly, value-priced wines from their inception. The wines are 100% estate grown and bottled, sourced from their 107 acre vineyard. The Gordon Brother’s are gradually moving toward entirely organic farming. www.gordonwines.com
