The 2012 La Garde is an especially soft, supple Pessac Léognan that is best suited for near-term drinking. Plum, black cherry, licorice and smoke add shades of nuance on the finish, but above all else, the 2012 is forward, juicy and engaging, all qualities that are best appreciated sooner rather than later. La Garde is part of the Dourthe family of estates.

An attractive nose of smoky blackcurrants and earth jump from the glass of this deep ruby/plum colored wine, owned by the famous Dourthe firm. The wine has supple tannins, excellent concentration, medium to full body and lots of spice.
