Tasting notes
Just 0.2ha of vines for this beautiful Malbec from Will Berliner. Truly a winemaker who cares about his vineyard and what it produces, and here you feel the precision that has been teased out of the soils and the grapes. Silkier and more gourmet than the Cabernet in the range, this has crayon, cola, crushed raspberries, blackberry, roasted cherry pit. Lifts through the palate, deftly made with interest and personality, balanced between savoury and sweet, a punch of incense and crushed dried flowers on the finish. Excellent.

The 2021 Malbec is surprising with its ethereal aromas of gravel, musky plums and dried herbs, with hints of graphite and lavender. It has lovely pure flavors and is quite savory in style. It has excellent vibrancy, well-integrated tannins and a sustained and fine finish. The 2021 is a little closed now, but five-plus years will see this wine peak.
