Tasting notes
60% Grenache Noir, 15% Cinsault, 15% Syrah and 10% Clairette. Cold maceration. Aged in stainless-steel tanks. Certified organic and biodynamic (Demeter). Tasted blind. Bright red fruits on the nose. A succulent and rounded mid palate with a salty note and fresh, linear acidity beneath. Really attractive, juicy, layered and mouth-watering finish. (AC)

Full bottle 1,301 g. Certified organic (Ecocert, AB) and biodynamic (Demeter). Grenache, Clairette, Syrah, Cinsault. Deep watermelon pink. Heady spiciness and rosehips on the nose. Muscular, chewy and bold. On the savoury spectrum, dense with white pepper, sumac, cardamom and the succulent silky veg-sweetness of roasted red peppers. More rosehips. Firm, structural acidity flooding the marble-smooth tannins with juice. Long spice and tang on the finish. Serious rosé. (TC)
The 2022 Tavel La Dame Rousse is on the lighter-hued side for Tavel, but it is still a full-bodied, full-flavored effort. A blend of 60% Grenache, 15% Cinsault, 15% Syrah and 10% Clairette, it offers up scents of crushed stone, alpine strawberries, watermelon and a touch of garrigue on the nose, while being pleasantly expansive and rich in the mouth, with a lingering, gently persistent finish.
