Tasting notes
The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Climat En Chatena is a vineyard with a northerly exposure; ergo, it was denied Premier Cru status, though, of course, that exposure can be advantageous in a warm season. It has an understated bouquet with scents of pressed white flowers intermixed with lightly walnut aromas. The palate is well balanced and holds onto the concentration I discerned from barrel. It's lightly spiced with a quite persistent finish. Very fine.

The 2021 Pouilly-Fuissé Climat En Chatenay, which has a north exposition, comes from parcel shared with Domaine des Comtes-Lafon. Touches of beeswax and honeysuckle on the nose, this gains intensity in the glass. The palate is concentrated with touches of pear and undergrowth, even a hint of asparagus towards the finish. Fine depth here, but it might need some bottle age.
