Score 94/100 · Drink 2015-2045, Robert Parker, May 2011

Even more impressive is the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Darioush II, a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Still an infant, this opaque purple-colored wine offers up beautifully sweet loamy soil notes intermixed with creme de cassis, blueberry liqueur and brioche characteristics. There is more minerality in this impressively full-bodied effort along with stunning purity, depth and overall equilibrium. Give it another 4-5 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 25-30 years. Tel. (707) 257-2345; Fax (707) 257-3132
