Tasting notes
All from the Reynard lieu-dit and bottled without any added SO2, the tiny production 2022 Cornas Sans Soufre delivers blackberries, gamey cassis, bouquet garni, and liquid violets in a full-bodied, broad, and expansive style. Massive, rich, and incredibly textured on the palate, it has beautiful balance and incredible purity of fruit. It's largely in the same mold as the Reynard release at this early stage, and both are absolutely riveting stuff.

About the producer

Allemand’s wines set the benchmark for Cornas: expressive Syrahs crafted with uncompromising traditional methods and released in tiny quantities. From the 1980s, he revived abandoned vineyards on Cornas’s steep granite slopes, building his domaine without inherited land or financial support.
