Tasting notes
Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast conjures notions of cranberries, red cherries, underbrush and spices. Medium-bodied, the subtle red berry notes are framed by chewy tannins, and it finishes with appealing freshness.

Freeman's 2014 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is soft, pretty and nicely lifted throughout. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, mint, star anise and exotic spices add striking aromatic nuance. This is an especially restrained, mid-weight style for the Russian River. All the elements fall into place in a super-expressive Pinot to enjoy now and over the next few years. The straight Russian River Pinot is often one of the best wines in the range, as it is again this year.
