Tasting notes
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tonella Vineyard takes a little coaxing to reveal fragrant notions of black raspberries, black cherry compote and blackcurrant preserves with suggestions of dusty soil, mossy tree bark and fallen leaves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a quiet intensity of black and red berry flavors with a plush texture and lively backbone, finishing long and fragrant.

The Rutherford 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Tonella Vineyard reveals a dense purple color as well as terrific, classic Napa Cab notes of crème de cassis, framboise, toasted spice, flowery incense, and vanilla cream. With medium to full-bodied richness, it has a round, supple mouthfeel, ripe, moderate tannins, and just loads of up-front charm. From a pure “yum” standpoint, it's one of my favorites in the lineup, yet it's still going to evolve for 15 years.
