The flagship cuvée is the 2016 Rasteau La Fontaine, which is 85% old vine Grenache with 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Syrah, destemmed and brought up in tank. Deep ruby/purple-colored with a smoking nose of blackcurrants, toasted spices, cured meats, and graphite, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a rounded, sexy texture, great acidity, and a huge finish. It's a classic, grand, balanced Rasteau.

Redcurrants and milk chocolate, a bit of pepper spice and very rounded tannic feel. Full, fleshy and slightly fiery on the palate, with a menthol note to finish. Worth leaving a few years. (RH)
