(70% pinot noir, 27% chardonnay and 3% pinot meunier, almost all from grand cru villages; LA10901129, disgorged 04/22/09) Bright gold with pinpoint bubbles. Peach skin, nectarine and orange on the nose, with hints of smoke and dried flowers adding complexity. Deep but lively, offering a suave combination of pit and citrus fruit flavors and good back-end cut. Picks up an exotic note of candied flowers that lingers on the juicy, well-delineated finish.
