The 2023 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley comes from three different vineyards in the Anderson Valley. Matured for 11 months in 49% new French oak, it has pure, expressive aromas of pomegranate, blood orange, black tea, pipe tobacco and juniper. The full-bodied palate’s highly concentrated, chaparral-laced flavors are framed by velvety tannins and vibrant acidity, and it has a very long finish. 1,915 cases were made.

Only the second vintage of this wine, the 2023 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley is a jeweled ruby color and has a dark berried profile with perfumed notes of rosemary, violets, and forest earth. The palate offers a broader feel but remains medium-bodied, with saturating notes of black raspberries, ripe tannins, and a long, mouthwatering finish. It’s such a pleasure to taste now, but it will have a good deal of longevity ahead over the coming 12-15 years. These are the spring releases from Williams-Selyem and were tasted with Vice President and Director of Winemaking Jeff Mangahas at the estate in the Russian River Valley.
