2015 Simonsig Frans Malan

A blend of 67% Pinotage, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot, the 2015 Frans Malan Reserve is medium ruby in color. Bursting from the glass with aromas of smoked bell pepper, blackberry jus, fresh cracked black pepper and dried cherries, the aromatics release from the wine with gentle aeration. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is spicy, showing subtle oak tones across the mid-palate, before concluding with a lingering and spicy finish that is well-balanced and perfect for fire-grilled chops.
