Tasting notes
Ruby-red with a bright rim. Heady aromas of candied red berries, cherry-cola, Indian spices and rose pastille. Juicy and incisive on the palate, offering vibrant raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that gain sweetness and depth with air. Packs a serious punch but comes off as strikingly lithe and precise, with alluring sweetness and a touch of candied rose on the lingering finish. The Cargasacchi vineyard is planted entirely to Dijon clone 115, by the way.

The 2012 Pinot Noir Cargasacchi Vineyard is solid, with darker fruits, spiced cherries, crushed flowers, licorice and earthiness to go with a medium-bodied, juicy style on the palate. More racy and acid-driven than I remember from barrel, drink it over the coming 3-4 years.
