Score 90/100 · Drink 2009-2024, Robert Parker, Dec 2009
All of the 2007s were barrel samples, but the 2006 Alta is in bottle. A blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 4% Syrah, its aromatics and flavors are dominated by tar, licorice, smoke, and black fruits. Deep, and medium to full-bodied with moderate, velvety tannins, and considerable depth and length, it should drink well for 12-15 years. Farella-Park Vineyards still sells a lot of its fruit from their holdings in the southeastern part of Napa Valley known as Coombsville. Tel. (707) 254-9489
