Tasting notes
Another terrific Bordeaux blend from this estate, the 2018 Red Blend Eloge checks in as 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and the balance Petit Verdot. Beautiful blackcurrants, black cherries, Asian spices, cedar, and tobacco aromas and flavors all emerge from the glass, and this medium to full-bodied beauty has a supple, rounded, elegant texture, rock-solid mid-palate depth, and a great finish. This is a beautiful blend from this estate that I would be happy to drink any time over the coming 10-15 years.

The 2018 Eloge is rich and generous on the palate. Dark red/black fruit, cedar, tobacco, licorice and dried herb lend plenty of savory Cabernet character to the blend. Like many wines in this range, the Eloge is pretty tight and in need of cellaring to help soften the tannins.
The 2018 Eloge Red Blend is composed of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it springs from the glass with bright, vibrant notes of fresh black and red currants, black cherries and warm black plums plus suggestions of Provence herbs, tilled soil, mossy tree bark and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers loads of tightly wound black fruit and earthy layers, textured with firm, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing on a lingering mineral note.
