Tasting notes
Moving to the reds and from the cooler Coombsville region of the valley, the 100% varietal 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a deep purple color as well as a classic bouquet of ripe black (and some blue) fruits interwoven with notions of tobacco, pen ink, chocolate, and liquid violets. Ripe and medium-bodied, with good depth of fruit, solid balance, and a clean finish, it's going to keep for 10-15 years. There are just 750 cases.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is a gorgeous wine. Inky dark red and purplish fruit, wild flowers, spice, mint and new leather all meld together in a rich, savory Cabernet Sauvignon that is full of character as well as personality.
Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the very deep purple-black colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon gives up crème de cassis, stewed plums and baked cherries with hints of dried mint, bay leaves, cigar box and pain grille. The palate is medium to full-bodied and firm with a grainy texture and plenty of juicy black fruit lifted by racy freshness, finishing with good length.
