Score 92/100 · Drink 2009-2017, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2009

From a steep mountain vineyard in the southwest corner of the Knights Valley AVA, the 2006 Keplinger Grenache Red Slope Grenache is a big, heady wine that exhibits lots of licorice infused blueberry and raspberry fruit, spice, flowers, pepper and underbrush. It’s bright and a little high toned on the nose. Medium to full bodied on the palate, it has a fantastic, rich texture, solid concentration, impressive balance and a long finish that has fine grained tannins. This is a superb wine that should drink well over the next 6 to 8+ years. 195 cases.
