Tasting notes
Deep garnet colored, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is scented of blackberry preserves, creme de cassis and fragrant sage with hints of loam, pencil lead and tree bark. Medium to full-bodied, it has a solid structure of firm chewy tannins and medium to high acid supporting the muscular, savory fruit, finishing long and earthy. Drink this one now to 2018. Suckfizzle does not currently have a USA importer.

Deep ruby. Intense, spice-accented aromas of red- and blackcurrant, dried cherry and pipe tobacco, with subtle smoke and vanilla nuances adding complexity. Chewy and focused on the palate, offering lively bitter cherry and currant flavors and mineral lift. Dusty tannins add grip to a long, smoky finish, which is marked by excellent spicy intensity and length. This wine should reward at least a decade of cellaring.
This is more like it! Finely leafy/stemmy aroma. Dry, fine-grained. Intense but very refreshing and a refined, dry finish. (JH)
