Tasting notes
Dark violet. Powerful aromas of ripe dark fruits, licorice, cola, cured tobacco and cedary oak, along with smoky mineral and succulent floral qualities. Chewy and densely packed, offering deeply concentrated, slow-to-open cassis and bitter cherry flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. Still extremely young, this promising wine finishes on an emphatic dark fruit note, with youthfully firm tannins framing lingering cherry pit and dark chocolate notes.

The first vintage of this wine was the 1995. Twenty years later, the 2015 The Coppermine Road Cabernet Sauvignon boasts lovely varietal aromas of blue flowers, mint and dried herbs, and pure cassis. It's full-bodied, richly tannic and built for the long haul. Velvety, concentrated, dense and long, it should age well for a couple of decades.
