Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2012

(this was previously called Alluvium; basically one-third each merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet, with a bit of petit verdot): Good deep ruby-red. Aromas of black raspberry, blueberry, minerals, spices, menthol and bitter chocolate. Supple, sweet and harmonious, with blue and black fruits complicated by dark chocolate. Finishes with big but lush tannins. A very successful blend.
