Score 92/100 · Drink 2014-2024, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Jun 2012
Deep purple-black colored, the 2010 Springflat Shiraz is a little closed on the nose at this stage, offering subtle aromas of creme de cassis, blackberry preserves, mulberries and spice cake with hints of anise, vanilla and chocolate covered dates. Very big, full and rich on the nose, it has a good backbone of very crisp and medium to firm rounded tannins to support, finishing with very long, lingering spice notes. Approachable now, it should drink best 2014 to 2024+. Importer: Rathbone Wine Imports, Napa, CA; www.fsfw.com.au; tel. (707) 253-8332
