Tasting notes
The 2024 Verdignan has a straightforward nose with blackberry and mulberry fruit, demonstrating a little more fruit concentration than its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fine acidity, a little more flesh here with a lightly spiced and pleasing finish. This might well turn out to be a satisfying Haut-Médoc.

Chalky slightly austere tannins, as is often the case in the Médoc this year, but there is cassis and bilberry fruit to accompany. Overall structure a little hard but delivers a juicy signoff and this has an unfussy charm - impressive when you see the yield is just 17hl/h. Blend given is planted, not of the vintage.
