Tasting Notes
Malescot Saint-Exupéry’s 2024 offers a richly fruited nose, layered with black and red berry fruit and hints of florals. The palate is soft yet concentrated; there’s a chalky texture to the tannin, but with a juicy bite to the fruit that balances it – managing to be both ripe and crunchy.. It’s concentrated and long with vibrant acidity, and a delicious result this year. Yield of 20hl/ha. Blend: 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 13% Petit Verdot

Inky in colour, roses, slate, liquorice, cassis bud, this is slim but with grip and texture, lifts through the palate and is an enjoyable if understated wine. 50% new oak. Harvest 1 to 15 October, Léa Zuger owner.
The 2024 Malescot Saint Exupéry has a cohesive nose with ample scents of blackberry, raspberry, light violet and just a touch of cedar in the background—backward, for sure, but it unfurls in the glass. The medium-bodied palate has firm tannins, a little chewy in a pleasant way with composure and bite on the finish. This is a thoroughly enjoyable fresh Margaux that will drink earlier than the 2022.
Licorice, black cherries, smoke, and chocolate aromatics kick off the wine. On the palate, the wine is fresh, juicy, vibrant, and medium-bodied, with a touch of peppery, chocolate mint that rides along with the cherries, and currants in the finish. The wine is a blend of 53% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 7% Petit Verdot. 13% ABV. The harvest took place October 1-October 15.
