Tasting Notes
Packed with saffron spice and marmalade, the nose plays on stone rather than tropical fruit, fresh and ripe, yet not extravagant. The palate is lush and juicy, incredibly pure and bright, with the pleasing pithy bitterness that balances the wine’s generosity. This has amazing balance, more restrained than more typically top-rated vintages. The team here made just 3hl/ha, a tiny crop after extensive sorting. With 133g/l residual sugar and around 13.5% alcohol. Blend: 55% Semillon, 30% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Muscadelle

The 2024 La Tour Blanche is creamy and resonant, with fine balance to match its understated personality. Hints of passion fruit, pineapple, mint, lemon confit and exotic white flowers grace the palate. The 2024 finishes with lovely brightness and a clean mineral touch.
Succulent, silky, sweet mango and apricot puree, this is one of the sweeter of the Sauternes in the year but delivers a twist of lime zest freshness alongside the toffee apple and saffron spice, good quality and a ton of pleasure. 6.5 hl/ha yield.
The 2024 La Tour Blanche has a fragrant bouquet, finely delineated if not as powerful as previous vintages, with dried honey, yellow flowers, orange pith and touches of quince. The palate is medium-bodied with a viscous entry, impressive weight and depth. This is not a profoundly complex La Tour Blanche but it has decent length.
