Black raspberries, spring flowers, hints of blue fruits, and chalky minerality all emerge from the 2024 Château Faugères. Medium-bodied, juicy, and forward, with gorgeous purity and fine tannins, it has the fresher style of the vintage with outstanding length. Based on 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, it spends 12 months in French oak, 30% new.
The 2024 Faugeres is an expressive, layered wine with a good bit of energy. Bright red-toned fruit, blood orange, cinnamon, star anise and a kick of French oak confer exotic beauty. Pliant and medium in body, with fine overall harmony, Faugeres has plenty to offer. A kick of white pepper and savory herbs from the Franc inform the finish.
Chocolate, black cherries, licorice, espresso, and flowers create the perfume. On the palate, the wine is soft, vibrant, round, and supple, with plums and cocoa that resonate from the mid-palate through to the finish. The wine blends 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.5% ABV.
