Tasting notes
This is deep-coloured, purple and opaque, with a similarly closed nose at first, but with air offers some floral notes – iris and violet. There’s real purity to the blue fruit here – blueberry and cases, with a lightness to the linear palate and fine texture, building to a stony finish. Around 13.5% and 3.7pH. Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc

A fresh and vivid second wine with orange peel and red plum fruit with some mineral and stone undertones. Medium-bodied and crunchy with light tannins. A blend of 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc.
Based on 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc aging in a mix of used barrels, once-used barrels, and foudre, the 2024 Blason De L'Evangile shows a healthy ruby/purple hue and a solid perfume of darker berry fruits intermixed with flowers, leafy herbs, and damp earth. Nicely textured and medium-bodied on the palate, it has ripe, present tannins and impressive length. It should be an outstanding wine.
Aromas of sweet mulberries, plums and petals introduce the 2024 Blason de l'Evangile, a medium-bodied, lively and succulent red that will offer pleasant near-term drinking.
